I know it’s 95 minutes long, but I highly recommend you listen to my interview with Sean Thor Conroe in its entirety. I’ve been waiting for quite some time to discuss his debut novel Fuccboi with him. The book—which emerges from the so-called “alt-literature” and “autofiction” scenes—has profoundly impacted me, which I think you will be able to tell as you listen to the interview. I rarely open up about my own experience while podcasting, but Sean and his novel’s “realness” brought it out. We also discuss the state of masculinity under late-phase capitalism, and our love for Nietzsche and Houellebecq.
