As most of you know by now, this Substack is not interested in offering commentary on politics in se. Because we prioritize metaphysics and aesthetics over ethics and politics, we are only interested in engaging with politics on a “meta”—that is, discursive and cultural—level.

Thus, we will not give an opinion on Trump as president (but given the popularity of my essay on Trump as camp icon, I’m sure you already know how I feel about him as a cultural figure). And I must say, this gesture of solidarity with spergy trad caths was one of the most brilliant moments of his last campaign!
