As we all know, cracks in pomo loves to over-analyze pop culture. Some have accused us of reading too much into pop culture, finding depth that isn’t actually there—or worse, of “baptizing” it, insisting that there are hints of divine truth within it when it’s really just demonic…or just really dumb and mundane.

The reality is, most pop culture is really vapid, empty, mindless…and yes, sometimes contains hints of the diabolical. And we would never raise our imaginary children on it (we’d go hardcore trad mode: no iPads, TVs, social media, pop music, etc).

But we have no intention of stopping what we’re doing. Here’s why:
