Among the most important lessons my late grandmother taught me was that if I were a woman, I should aspire to be a tradwife.
Numerous women object to the prospect of abandoning their career path in order to stay home. Being a stay at home mom leaves you stuck with the burden of raising the kids, cleaning the house, depending on your husband financially—thus putting yourself in a vulnerable position should your husband end up being abusive, and depriving you of a life of your own.
But my grandmother’s brand of tradwifery evaded such pitfalls.
